Lisa Purves is a Vancouver based LEO Award nominated screenwriter/producer and recipient of a Praxis Fellowship in Screenwriting for one of her dramatic feature scripts, PRIDE NO MORE.
Through Praxis, Lisa was mentored under advisor, Dennis Foon, author of THE LONGLIGHT LEGACY series and multiple award-winning screenwriter, playwright and novelist.
Lisa was also webmaster for Women In Film & Television Vancouver and a member of the festival committee for The Women In Film Festival 2008, 2009 and 2010 and was awarded the Women In Film & Television's Volunteer of the Year Award in 2008-2009.
Although hired to pen both short and feature scripts for various production companies in Vancouver, India and Los Angeles, none of the projects ever made to the screen, so Lisa took a crash course in the "producing school of life" and started to produce her own work.
At the beginning of 2009, Lisa joined with High Deaf Productions as an in-house writer/producer, and together the team continues to build a strong project base with local clients as well as clients from India and The United States. The team has placed more focus on filmmaking, producing a number of projects in the past few years, with many more slated for development.
